Who owns Miracle Beginnings?
Miracle Beginnings 3D 4D Ultrasound is owned and operated by Claire . Claire has been trained to safely perform 3D/4D/5D ultrasounds and determine baby’s gender with a 99% accuracy so far based on a recent survey. Miracle Beginnings uses the latest technology ensuring your baby’s safety as their number one priority. Claire has previously worked in a medical imaging environment before deciding to open Miracle Beginnings. Miracle Beginnings does not offer any medical advice and it is a prerequisite that you have had at least one medical ultrasound before using Miracle Beginnings services. Claire offers a personalised service and her reviews on Facebook and Google speak for themselves.
What is an ultrasound? An ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves to create images of your baby inside your body.

What can I expect during an ultrasound?
Ultrasounds are non-invasive, making them a completely safe, comfortable and painless procedure.
During the ultrasound, a small amount of gel will be applied to your stomach, then the technician will gently move a probe over the same area. The images will be displayed on a monitor or screen, allowing you to see your baby inside the womb!
What is the difference between 2D, 3D, 4D & 5D ultrasounds?
2D ultrasounds have been used for years and provide basic two-dimensional, black and white images of your baby.
3D ultrasound is a more advanced method, which captures a true, three-dimensional image of your baby, often allowing us to see specific facial features and well-defined formation.
4D ultrasound provides a moving three-dimensional image of your baby in the womb. With a 4D ultrasound, we can capture your baby yawning, turning their head, sucking their thumb, or even waving!
5D or HD is the latest technology using fetal realistic view software which uses a light source to illluminate your baby’s features.

Are 3D, 4D & 5D ultrasound scans safe?
Rest assured, both 3D, 4D and 5D ultrasounds use the exact same intensity as a normal 2D ultrasound. With 4D, it is the extra processing that allows the images to appear to be moving in real time and 5d uses a light source to illuminate baby’s features..
As with all ultrasounds, no radiation or harmful agents will be used during your Miracle Beginnings ultrasound – remember, the images are simply created by high frequency sound waves. We use the latest and most up to date technology ensuring your baby’s safety.
Is this a medical scan?
No. It’s important to understand that our ultrasounds are not medical scans – they are used for photography imaging only. They are completely elective, allowing you to capture images of your unborn baby to treasure and share with family and friends.
Miracle Beginnings cannot provide any medical advice or diagnosis in any way. For example, while you will be able to listen to your baby’s heartbeat during your visit, we are unable to confirm how many beats per minute or provide any other form of medical advice such as weight and length.
We always strongly recommend that you have had your most up to date medical scan before coming to us, as any abnormalities would be noted at your medical scan. We are a non-diagnostic service, and do not look out for abnormalities or anything that might require medical intervention.
Do I need a doctor's referral for a Miracle Beginnings ultrasound?
No, you do not require a doctor’s referral for our services, as our ultrasound imaging services are non-diagnostic. They are an elective procedure, for photographic purposes only. Please refer to the question above for more detailed information.
Will you be able to tell the gender of the baby?
If you would like your baby’s gender to remain a surprise, please let us know beforehand!
Sometimes, distinguishing baby’s gender is not so easy, due to your baby’s position, developmental stage, the amount of amniotic fluid around baby, cord between baby’s legs or your own body mass. At Miracle Beginnings, we will endeavor to do our very best to determine the gender, but if we are unable to on the day, we will re-schedule you for a free return ultrasound until we can accurately determine baby’s gender.
What will determine the quality of the ultrasound images?
At Miracle Beginnings, we make it our number one priority to achieve the absolute best ultrasound images of your baby on the day of your ultrasound. However, there are some factors that might affect the quality of the images.
The fetal position of your baby inside the womb is the key factor in capturing good quality images. If your baby is facing forward in the womb looking towards Mums belly, we can generally capture excellent images of your baby. But if baby is looking towards mum’s spine, or has their face pressed up against the placenta, it can make it more challenging to capture good quality images. Some babies may also have their hands and feet in front of their face.
On the day, we will gently try to make your baby move as much as possible, by getting you to stretch, or roll on to your side, or have something cold to drink, so that we can capture the best possible image for you.
What if my baby is breech?
As we said above, the fetal position of your baby is the key factor in capturing high quality images. With breech position, your baby’s head is located at the top of your uterus and the feet are down – which can make it harder to capture clear ultrasound images.
If your baby is in breech position, it would be best to wait and see if he or she turns before scheduling your 3D/4D ultrasound. If by 31 weeks your baby is still breech, we can go ahead with an appointment – if your amniotic fluid is nice and clear we should be able to achieve some good images for you.
Is there anything I should do prior to my appointment?
There are a few things you can do, to have the best chance of getting clear, detailed images of your baby on the day.
Most importantly, you’ll want to be well hydrated, as this will ensure your amniotic fluid is clear, giving you much clearer images and will provide a good pocket of fluid in front of baby’s face. It is essential to drink at least two litres of water a day, for 5-7 days before your visit especially for your 3D/4D & 5D images.
About half an hour before your appointment, you might like to drink a fruit juice or eat something sweet, to wake baby up before your ultrasound. This will help improve the chances of capturing moving images during the scan.
How many people can attend the ultrasound and can we bring kids?
At this stage we can only accommodate Mum + 3 guests. Thanks for your understanding.
What if we are not able to get images on the day?
We promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images of your baby for you. Miracle Beginnings wants you to be 100% satisfied with your overall experience. If we are unable to obtain clear 3D/4D images during your scan, we will arrange a return appointment free of charge.
What is your cancellation policy?
If for any reason you need to cancel or change your appointment we ask that you contact us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. With this notice, we will be happy to reschedule your scan to another time.
Does Miracle Beginnings offer gift certificates?
